We had a quick stopover in Pittsburgh and boy was it well spent. It started with a perfectly balanced espresso martini served by the very kind bartender. We then indulged in the butter bean salad special, house meatballs, and the rapini pesto casarecce pasta special. The food was superb, bar service was wonderful, and the dessert was a perfect way to end the meal (we got the tiramisu and the strawberry pistachio cheesecake). Such a great way to spend 2hrs in Pittsburgh before the next leg of our trip! Highly recommend 💚

diAnoia’s absolutely lived up to the hype! The restaurant was hopping, but the service was warm, attentive, and never missed a beat. The whipped ricotta with lemon and crostini was a perfect start, the butter bean salad with cucumber and tomato was unbelievably fresh and outstanding, and the Caprese panzanella was beautifully balanced with incredible seasonal flavor. You can taste the quality in every bite. We can’t wait to come back!

We dined here 6/24/26 at 7:45 pm. The staff were busy and seemed friendly. The bartender was very nice and made us some delicious. Our waitress was very nice and served us well. I had a traditional Spaghetti and Meatball dish. The meatballs are delicious. The red sauce and pasta were very good too. My wife had the Gnocchi Bowl which she loved. Our daughter had the which we all tried and liked very much. I would give the restaurant 4.5 stars, but the system won’t let me. Also can’t post the pictures in a particular order for some reason.

I got an Italiano panini (hoagie), which was excellent! The bread was fresh, the meat was tasty. My (Italian) wife had an eggplant parmesan panini (hoagie), she was not thrilled - the cheese wasn't melted (almost cold) and the eggplant was bland. The service was ok - you order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. Diet coke in cans, so no refills.

This was my family’s first time eating at DiAnoia’s after having it recommended several times and we were BEYOND impressed! The food was all delicious and the waiter gave us recommendations that only elevated our meal choices and dining experience. We do not have a picture but the Crispy Sunchokes were absolutely wonderful and a must-try starter, we have never had anything like them before. I cannot say enough good things about DiAnoia’s, 10/10!!
